Congratulations Peter Oliver
The Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) project was running behind schedule with a massive volume of work to complete, when Project Manager Peter Oliver took the lead. With a strong focus on people, process and planning Peter and the team delivered the works on time, and started the next package of works ahead of schedule – both firsts for the program!
First, the team started tracking the entire lifecycle of every fibre connection point, allowing an immediate and accurate snapshot of the progress and status of the roll-out of UFB services across the country.
Next, having a clear picture of the challenge at hand, Peter began mobilising resources, scouring far and wide across New Zealand.
With the full team in place, Peter united everyone around common goals, achieving an enviable safety record of six months without any injuries. Peter’s efforts were acknowledged by our client, Chorus when they awarded him.
‘Team Leader of the Year’ in their Service Person of the Year Awards, but Peter says, “This really was a team effort. The project team worked every single day except Christmas Day to deliver the project on time for Chorus.”
