Part of a group of more than 200 employees, our Water team provide services to our client Sydney Water, supporting more than four million people across the Sydney, Illawarra and Blue Mountains regions.
Our mechanical and electrical contract was recently renewed and requires our team to create year-on-year efficiencies to reduce costs and drive innovation.
Darren Mackey, David Menolotto, Gary Pollard and James Nedeljkov from our Sydney Water Cattai Hub team work across several of North-West Sydney sites and have worked hard to build a ‘one team approach’.
By challenging current maintenance processes, the team has reduced costs, improved team culture and found more efficient ways of getting the job done.
The initiatives included an overhaul of inlet screens to reduce system wear and major process issues, bringing forward the upgrade of blower units to improve reliability and undertaking grit system repairs to reduce breakdown maintenance.
The team’s efforts were recently recognised by Sydney Water, taking out their prestigious Lifestream Award.
Well done to the Cattai Hub team for their outstanding teamwork and innovative approach.
