WORK WINNING EFFORTS FOCUS ON VALUE CREATION FOR CLIENTS

Internet-of-Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and aerial drones. The Visionstream New Zealand Work Winning team is using technology-enabled solutions to deliver value to our clients.
Their innovative approach is having an impact, with the team achieving a near perfect win rate since March 2019.
Late last year, when Visionstream’s cornerstone contract in New Zealand came up for renewal, the team was faced with a challenge: to find lower- cost client solutions without compromising on quality.
By applying innovative thinking, challenging existing industry methodologies and working closely with their operational counterparts and the broader business, the team were not only able to retain existing work but secured a range of additional projects.
The new work includes undersea cable laying, cabinet upgrades and ultra-fast broadband connections to areas and towns beyond the original contract.
Innovations employed to meet client requirements have included aerial drones for tower scanning and the aggregation of data from international satellites and the New Zealand Navy to model sea bed rise-and-fall.
The team supported the Chorus Field Services Agreement by implementing proof-of-concept AI-equipped cameras. They also assisted Infrastructure Services in their work for Auckland City Council by trialing IoT sensors for smart city applications. As well as meeting client needs, the wins also position us well to pursue further local opportunities in the years ahead.
