In recognition of their outstanding achievements, our 2019 Ventia Award winners were given the opportunity to make a difference to causes close to their hearts.
Each of the winning teams and individuals – those named as our ‘most outstanding’ finalists – were invited to select a charity to receive a financial donation from our company. Our winners were asked to choose charities which resonated with them personally and aligned with Ventia’s values.
The charities selected provide support across a broad range of causes, including drought-affected rural communities, the environment and individuals and families experiencing disadvantage, isolation or health issues. Notably, two of the chosen organisations are focused on mental health and wellbeing.
Ventia donated a combined $10,000 to the 10 nominated charities: Auckland City Mission, Blue Hope, Bush Heritage Australia, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, MATES in Construction, McGrath Foundation, Rural Aid, St Kilda Mums, The Fred Hollows Foundation, and Women’s Community Shelters.
