EXPERT CARE FOR REMEDIATION TEAM THAT GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND

Sccott Meulman’s role takes him all over Australia, managing the complex occupational health and hygiene risks in the environments in which our remediation teams work.

When it comes to contamination, the topic is often an emotive one requiring high levels of engagement, expertise and experience to build trust and confidence.

The Camellia remediation team, which is undertaking work for Transport for NSW on the Parramatta Light Rail project in Sydney’s west, is the latest to benefit from Scott’s expertise and strong guiding principles.

Drawing on his experience and qualifications, including a Master of Science – Occupational Hygiene Practice, Scott has designed and successfully implemented an occupational exposure monitoring program for site contaminants.

The program benefits every person who works on, is nearby or who visits the Camellia site, helping safeguard the health of both our people and local communities.

Scott fully understands the value of transparent communication throughout the life cycle of the project and has built workforce and stakeholder trust.

Scott conducted a stakeholder consultation management workshop which helped to build understanding and relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies and the local council. The workshop exceeded client and stakeholder expectations and clearly demonstrated Ventia’s commitment to broad, honest and meaningful engagement.

Scott also takes an active role in mentoring members of the team, passing down his knowledge and experience.

Says Cecil Moll, Site Engineer: “Scott brings his immense experiences from other projects when it comes to mentoring me. He goes well beyond ‘ticking the boxes’ and helps me understand the motivations of our work”
